Online Management Tools

While creating your portfolio’s, it will be important to keep an eye on your online presence.  Here is a short list, with brief descriptions of some tools you can use to manage your online persona.

Wise Stamp allows you to add applications to your email. Your emails can include your facebook pages, twitter handles, wordpress blog posts, and more.

Gravatar With Gravatar, you can be sure that your Avatar will remain constant from site to site to site. With you can create a “personal splash page” that allows you to “point visitors to your content from around the web.” This splash page is a photograph, with a brief description of yourself, and links to all your social media platforms and online locations.

Socialtoo  Allows you to automatically track and manage your facebook, twitter and myspace accounts. In addition it protects your accounts from malicious messages, virus links, and phishing.

Twittercounter Makes statistics out of your tweets.

Klout According to Klout’s website,  “The Klout Score measures influence based on your ability to drive action. The Klout Score uses data from social networks in order to measure:” True Reach, Amplification, and Network. The main reason Klout exists is to measure your online influence.

This service is now up and running, and something people seem to be talking about.  ThinkUp is a service that captures all your social media in a database that is searchable, that you can collect analytical information from, and more.
